Walter Sisulu has added another national accolade to its growing list of achievements after Professor Fortune Ganda of the Faculty of Economic and Financial Sciences was named the recipient of the 2026 NSTF-South32 Green Economy Award at South Africa's prestigious Science Oscars, held in Johannesburg this evening.
The award recognises Professor Ganda's outstanding contribution to sustainable development and the advancement of the green economy, while also highlighting Walter Sisulu growing influence and impact in research that addresses national and global challenges.
