01
Complete your professional profile
Add current contact details, your qualification, graduation year, location, professional summary and LinkedIn profile. Keep these details current so WSU can contact and support you.
- Confirm your qualification and academic information.
- Add a clear career summary.
- Update your location and availability.
02
Build skills beyond your qualification
Your degree or diploma is your foundation. Relevant certificates can show employers that your knowledge is current and connected to the role you want.
If you studied IT, consider
- Cloud fundamentals from Microsoft, AWS or Google.
- Cybersecurity or networking fundamentals.
- Data analytics, SQL or business intelligence.
- A certificate related to your chosen development or support role.
Check that employers in your target field recognise a course before paying for it.
03
Create career evidence
Employers need examples of what you can do. Add academic projects, practical work, volunteering, internships, certificates and measurable achievements to your CV.
Example: Built a responsive student-support website and tested it with 20 users, instead of only writing “web development”.
04
Prepare before applying
Read every requirement, tailor your CV, upload the requested documents and research the employer. Apply only when your information is accurate and your evidence supports the opportunity.
- Use a professional email address.

- Track applications and respond promptly.
