Walter Sisulu alumnus and award-winning author Sipho Ellen Tshaka is preparing to release his fourth book in 2026, The Dark Side of Campus Life — a work shaped by the emotional realities many students face.
Tshaka’s writing draws on lived experience and close observation of university life, giving voice to pressures, hopes and struggles that seldom make the official campus story.
As an award-winning author, he has already built a body of work that speaks to readers beyond the academy, while remaining connected to the student world that continues to inspire him.
His forthcoming book extends that contribution: literature as both mirror and mentor for a generation navigating higher education — and another reminder that Walter Sisulu alumni shape national conversations through the written word.
