iYunivesithi Walter Sisulu proudly celebrates alumna Dr Nonkululeko Gobodo, who made history as South Africa's first Black female Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)). Dr Gobodo is currently Chancellor of iYunivesithi Walter Sisulu.
A trailblazer in the accounting and auditing profession, she co-founded the first Black woman-owned auditing firm in the country and later helped build one of South Africa's leading black-owned auditing and advisory firms. Through her leadership, commitment to transformation, and advocacy for ethical governance and women's empowerment, Dr Gobodo has left an indelible mark on South Africa's business landscape and continues to inspire future generations of professionals and entrepreneurs.
