iYunivesithi Walter Sisulu continues to strengthen its commitment to producing graduates who are equipped for the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution through strategic partnerships and industry-aligned training programmes. One of the notable initiatives during the first semester of 2026 was the continued implementation of the Samsung Innovation Campus Programme.
Through this programme, 50 Information Technology students successfully completed specialized training in Coding, Programming, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The training provided participants with practical, industry-relevant competencies that complement their academic studies and prepare them for the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The Samsung Innovation Campus programme focuses on developing critical technological skills, including software development, problem-solving, computational thinking, data analysis, and AI applications. The initiative forms part of iYunivesithi Walter Sisulu's broader strategy to strengthen industry partnerships, expand experiential learning opportunities, and ensure that graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to thrive in technology-driven environments.
